Marcel Barbey, a Principal with The Medicus Firm, is based in Dallas and primarily works with clients in the Northeast. Mr. Barbey has been recruiting physicians and providing healthcare staffing consultative services since 1999. His areas of expertise include medical staff needs analysis, contract negotiation, establishing strong partnerships with physician candidates and clients and an unparalleled customer centric focus.

Prior to joining the former Medicus Partners in 2005, Mr. Barbey was with the largest retained physician search firm in the U.S. While there, he trained and directed a team of search consultants that completed over 100 searches throughout the Midwest region. Mr. Barbey has personally completed recruiting assignments in a variety of practice settings and communities. Prior to starting his career in healthcare consulting and recruiting, Mr. Barbey worked in the hospitality and hotel management field.

Mr. Barbey has is a four time recipient of the Burning Tire Award for successfully filling the highest number of searches in the shortest period of time.

Mr. Barbey earned a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from the University of Alberta, Edmonton. Originally from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Mr. Barbey enjoys spending his free time with his son.
